Competition Information

For the general themed competitions the key points, including how to mount and title entries, are
summarised below.
 
  • Each photographer can enter up to 4 images, these can be in 2 or 3 categories, but no more than 2 in any one section:
  •       Prints
    • Should have cardboard mounts, maximum size 400 x 500mm (no glass or frames allowed)
    • Title to be attached over the bottom right hand corner of the mount (use a slip of paper stuck on at the back)
    Deben Shield (Non-manipulated)
    • Prints up to A4
    • The only manipulation allowed is crop, straighten, dodge & burn (to make areas lighter or darker) and spotting (to remove dust)
    • Sharpening or changing the settings to achieve the right colour and tonal balance is also acceptable
    Orwell Shield (Manipulated Allowed)
    • Prints up to A3
    • As much manipulation as you like (manipulation is not compulsory)
          Digitally Projected Images 
    Stour Shield (Manipulated Allowed)
    • Images will need to be up to 1400 px width and 1050 px height with resolution at 72 (pixels per inch)
    • Any background beyond your image should be set to black to produce a final image of 1400 px width and 1050 px height
    • Profile should be sRGB
    • As much manipulation as you like (manipulation is not compulsory)
    • Images will need to be handed in at previous meeting or emailed 1 week prior to competition
